Soft serve ice-cream at softsrve ~ Damansara Uptown

Softsrve, a cute wordplay on soft serve ice-cream is one of the newest ice-cream joints in town (about 6 months old at the point this post was written) and our visit was prompted by Ezel (yes, Deliciouslogy’s MIA co-owner) quite recently.

softsrve is located at the same row as Texas Chicken in Damansara Uptown towards the center of the row.

Whimsical Gelataria ~ Solaris Dutamas & every sundae by cielo dolci ~ Damansara Uptown

It is no secret that my favorite gelato is cielo dolci and that I was super sad when they moved away from Paradigm Mall. How do I get my gelato fix then? 😦

With that thought in mind, I actually had cielo dolci gelato twice in one day.  Entirely by accident, of course.

The first dose was at whimsical gelataria & caffe at Solaris Dutamas. We planned for a brunch and gelato visit.

Durian fest ~ SS2 Durian

The weather is hot, mosquitoes are abundant and it’s durian season!

A combination of the best and worse things about Malaysia come together in June when KLites flock to the rows of durian stalls near BHP in SS2.

But a quick check on the old location will render you result-less as they’re all covered up with plastic sheets and the lights out. Where have all my durian stalls disappeared to?!

Before you go into a panic attack over disappearing durians, they have moved to a nicer build-up on Jalan Harapan, Seksyen 19. A quick check on Durian SS2’s site will tell you that.

Click the map to zoom in! The location is almost opposite the famous banana leaf rice place, Kanna Curry House so if you drive down that road, you’d never go wrong.

You’d be greeted by the hordes of people by the road side, durian in hand as well as the super bright fluorescent lights. All the durian stalls from the previous location are now allocated a kiosk and they’re all labelled properly so you can go back to your favorite.

Seats are aplenty though the only thing you may be worried about are mosquitoes and the rain. Wait, it doesn’t rain during durian season!

A name like that is sure to peak a foodie’s interest alongside solid online reviews and beautiful photos of wood fire pizza. Just like that, I was smitten and very keen to explore Enorme with LC for our anniversary.

Krishna Curry House ~ Jalan SS9A/19, Petaling Jaya

Krishna Curry House was introduced to me by LC and his mum after multiple ravings and we went over one night for dinner. Unfortunately at the time, a number of items ran out so I didn’t get the full Krishna Curry House experience.

The second visit came along after a optometrist appointment at Jalan 222 so here’s the full experience!

Heritage Village ~ Jaya Shopping Center

Heritage Village recently won a Best Nasi Lemak award on The Star People’s Food Awards and it was very surprising to me. When ensogo was offering a deal voucher, I jumped at the opportunity to try Heritage Village’s fare.

Lorong Seratus Tahun ~ SS2

Lorong Seratus Tahun (LST) started in Penang in 1960 by Moey Saik Kooi, Restoran Lorong Seratus Tahun’ late father. At the early stage of the business, it was just a hawker stall selling Curry Mee in Lorong Seratus Tahun, Penang. Forty years later, LST brothers expanded the business to food and beverage outlet business model.
